CHRISTY L. CLAYTON M.D. FACOG

Dr. Christy Clayton was born and raised in Roxboro, N.C. She received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology in 1980 from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her Medical Degree from East Carolina University in 1986. Dr. Clayton completed her postgraduate Training at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University in Detroit, MI from 1986-1990. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology (FACOG). She is also a member of the American Women’s Medical Association, the Old North State Medical Society, and the North Carolina Medical Society. She has hospital privileges at WakeMed Cary Medical Center.

Dr. Clayton is the youngest of 4 children to Dr. Clayton and Christine Arrington.  Following in her father’s footsteps (a family practitioner), Dr. Clayton opened Cary Women's Center in 1995 with her father’s words in mind….”Medicine is not just about science, it is about people.”
